I put on the HD Air horn. I would not say that it was the "Best" air horn I have ever had. I am a huge fan of air horns on motorcycles and have always used Rivco, but after a friend suggested I go with the HD I ordered it. Installation was supposed to be "Easy". On his 05 it was. On my 08, not so easy. Not a lot of room to run wires. Much louder than stock and it is compact, but not as loud as the Rivco's i am used to. JMO.
There is a Stebel Air horn kit that is very tiny, totally self contained dual horn, mini air compressor - about 4 1/2" square that is very loud. Costs about $40, but not sure where you would mount it. It is basically the same system as the HD system, but less expensive. It just cannot be set up on the left side of the bike like the HD model.
I just installed the "Mini-Beast" installation was a breeze, everything bolts right up, totally self contained, VERY LOUD AIR HORN!!! My son has the MoCo on his, not near as loud as the Beast!! Eastern Performance has them for $118.95, less expensive than the MoCo!!
Not sure if this will work on your bike but on my Road glide I mounted an extra louad car horn on each side using the front tank mount bolts. They are out of site and loud !!!
total coats 28 dollars and about 30 minutes to do the work.
Thanks for the help. Bought the H/D horn and installation kit - $200 ouch!! Got it home and discovered it's plastic!! PLASTIC??!! Are you kidding me, Plastic? Harley should be ashamed. I suppose if it was chrome like it should be, it would cost $400. Anyway, I put it on and its as loud as me bitching about it being plastic.
