Well its that time to change the first tire on my 07 streetglide. After 12000 km and a few burnout its flat. Now changing that rear tire from a softail standard was easy and fast .That touring bike hummmm.Got the left exhaust unhook from the supportbar that holds the exhaust and the saddle, pried up ,got the shaft out and lift the bike high enough to get the wheel out.Ok not bad so far tomorow ill be posting on how it went to put it back.Im putting a maxxis classic 140-90-16.Its cheaper than the dunlop and last as much as them.
I got 13,000 out of my stock tire but did not do any burn outs. Sounds like about an average amount of miles. I went with a Metzler for mine. Like it so far.
I just changed mine last night for the first time.I only got 9100 mile out of it.I put an Avon Venom 150 on.Not a bad job with the help of my 14 year old son.

He died march 07,age 11,had a tumor in his mouth...Still miss him...(lost my 17 yrs old cat two months earlier, same thing, tumor in mouth..) Both came to me from animal shelter so not quite sure how old those guys were.
