Default Passenger Floor Board Covers

Just got a pair of floor board covers for my ultra but just wondering what drill size to use as per the Harley instructions? Also do you drill right through the floorboard?

Don't your directions specify the drill siize? If not, you drill size should be approximately the size of the shank of the screw (the inner part of the threads) It is better to be one size too small than any size too big. And NO, you don't drill through the floorboards, unless you want to look at two holes on each side the rest of the time you own your bike ! You drill the depth of the enclosed screws.

Didnt get instructions cause the covers came from a friend. And I knew you dont drill right up into the rubbler soles of the boards. I didnt think the boards were as thick as the screws are long
