Hey guys, I am thinking of selling the fatboy and getting a rk or sg. I am short 5'4. my question is who haslowered there bike? whats the lowest seat hight achived and how did ya do it? On a stock SG I am on my tippy toes.
Thanks
If you get an air ride system it won't matter it will be your best friend. Had my RK lowered 1 1/2 with the white brothers lowering kit. Want the air ride system next. Like the in the dirt look.
I have a 28 in inseam, like you had to tip toe on my 08 fl. I went with the reach seat and the pingle lowering blocks. love it! I can flat foot now and no problem backing up. can tell no differance in the ride. 3,000 mi.now
I'm 5'4" also and have an 07 street glide. and have 15,000 miles on it.I got a close corbin solo seat and have an arlen ness lowereing kit which lowers it another inch. It made quite a difference for me. I have a 29 inch inseam. Love the bike!!
I personally didn't like the way the stock '02 RK air shocks handled going into a curve, (the bike kind of wallered). i went to Progressive 440' shocks. They are adjustable on the road without tools and also lower the bike. i don't like lowering blocks either. But the Progressive 440's (check out their web site) and a low profile seat should put your feet on the ground. I'm about 5" taller than you but I just like a low profile bike. Oh, the best deal I found on progressives was at Jireh cycles. I showed their price to my indy and he came within 20 bucks which I was glad to pay him instead of shipping charges to jireh plus I got the instant gratification as he had them the next day. AL

+1 except I went with the 412s on my 01 RK instead which lowered the bike one inch. I've got a 28" inseam and 1 inch pretty much did the trick. I might have the seat worked on too but right now I'm comfortable with it.
