Morning everyone....... I'm getting ready to make a crosscountry trip this July...... need an auxillary tool kit since HD doesn't give you much. I usually don't carry one but this trip is solo with the wife so no buddies tool kit to rely on. Anyone have one they can recommend?? Thanks!!!
Did a little research and looked around the bike then loaded up a sears tool bag. I had more than enough craftsman laying around but you can make a list and go to sears. They even have a bike kit that you can buy and add your list to. I am one of those people who likes to be the one to have it. I did find that the cruz tool kits are nice and started my list with one. Just try to pick an choose or you will be hauling a tool chest before you know it. Slime makes a sweet little compressor and plug kit at auto parts stores.

RE: Tool Kits
I have a Cruz Tools kit that came in a teardrop-shaped nylon bag made to fit into the tool boxes on the Fat Boy I had at the time. The kit was a little pricey, but it's a good one. The only thing I added to it was a ratchet and a few other like wire ties, etc. I also carry a Stop And Go tire plugger kit. It comes with four small compressed air cartridges which is enough air to fill any single motorcycle tire.
I've got the flat tire set up already............thanks for all the tool kit info Dudes.... I'll get busy pronto !!! Found a great roll-up tool bag (empty) at Stone Lake Leather online and I can fill it up with whatever I deem necessary..... Thanks Again !!!!
I made my own: Here's what I put in it.
