I have Rinehart slip-ons on my 08 ultra. I was told they do not make quieter baffles for these. So my question
is , can I put my stock mufflers back on without having any engine running problems. The Rinehart's are just a little to loud.
Not everyone will give me an inspection sticker with theRinehart's.[:@]
I did have the download done when I put the Rinehart's and air cleaner on.
You can scam the system and possibly get a sticker. If they will let you put the stock pipes on temporarilly and take it to the inspection station. But instead of riding it up there if you can take it on a trailer and before you get there let the air out of the tire and you can tell them that you are taking it to get a new tire because you had a flat. It is just an idea. Otherwise if you put the stock back on and still have the upgraded MAP on the ECM it will not run correctly probabilly to rich.
Wow I've been trying to make my Rineharts louder for 3 month's!! Never thought they were loud at all. They don't make quieter baffles. Don't do the Rinehart performance baffles either. They are way louder
Yes, you will want to have the system recalibrated with your stock mufflers. BUT, since you have the download installed for more fueland the air cleaner to increase intake flow, you will be choking the motor with stock muffs. It will not be the most efficient.
I would recommend that maybe you look at putting on the SuperTrapp SE touring slip ons. The download will be pretty close, you'll be able to use the increased air flow, and the S'trapps are alittle louder than stock but no wheres near the Rino's. They also produce great hp and torque numbers.
I have the Rinehart slipons on my 07 Ultra and dont think there loud also I have the same setup air cleaner and Sert all installed at dealer just had my bike insp at Blacks tire (Goodyear) service w/no problems..
