I'm currently shopping for either a RKC or Street Glide. My question is about the hard saddlebags. Are they available for the RKC? I cant seem to find them on the HD website as either an available option or as an accessory.
I love the look of the RKC and the SG. Cant seem to make up my mind which one I want...
You can put hardbags on a Road King Classic. There are a number of ways to do it from simply swapping with someone who wants your Classic bags to the most costly with is ordering them from HD.
Live2Ride - that's the EXACT model I'm drooling over....
It really had me droolin' too. I bought a '08 Softail Custom in August, and then I wound up tradin' it for this RKC last month. I lost a little money, but I have no regrets at all. I was never a big fan of the Touring bikes, then I saw this bike on the showroom floor and fell in love immediately. I've had the bike for just over a month and already have over 2,600 miles on it. I just can't stop ridin' it.
If you haven't bought a bike and you want hard bags just get the Road King and not the classic. Then you can add a detachable fairing and have the best of both worlds.

Like mannish hawg said and then add on the cruise control and that's about it.. Cruise doesn't cost all that much and is pretty nice after you've been on the road a while. I put the hard bags on my bike, traded the classic bags off and have a set of custom bags also. none of the bags will hold as much as the classic bags tho if thats important to you.
