I'm looking to lower my 2000 UC a bit, and have already tried the block kits, so now I'm looking into changing shocks. I'm looking at everything from a 10" set to a 12" set, and comparing air shocks to gas shocks. I could use some educated opinions here....any suggestions?
I put on the one inch lower air shocks that Eastern Performance sells for $127. They work and act like stock and are chrome to boot. A good low cost alternative IMHO.
Since I am veritcally challenge I installed the short air chock on my 07 Road King Classic. Now my feet are flat. BTW I was not aware of Eastern Perfomance when I decided to do this so I Paid the HD prize.
you can do a bunch of things depends on budget. You sounds like one who likes to find deals. Well my suggestion is either to get a set on 1" lower shock that are the stock HD from a street glide guy, like myself, who has changed theirs out to progressive. Or you as well can get the progressives for a decent price on ebay and they are springs not air and I have been much happier with there 11 1/2" shocks. I found little to no difference between there 11.5" and HD low profile 12". Hope this helps
