I am in the market for a luggage rack for the Ultra. It is needed for the local riding with the wife but do not want/need the tour pak. I have all the detachable points and my question is...Does everyone like the rack that attaches to the sissybar or the rack that attaches to the rear points that are for the tour pak when it is on?
I have the detachable 2 up rack and I really don't like the way it looks. I use that for around town, but prefer the Leather Tourpack in looks.I'd like to find a functional detachable that is good looking but have not been able to with the lay down license plate.
I have had the detachable two-up luggage rack and really liked it. It was large and very stable; looked good on the bike. I also have the detachable sissy bar and the rack that attaches to it. It's a smaller rack, but does well with a smaller bag for holding rainsuits, etc. on day rides. We have even attached a larger overnight bag to it, but the rack is a little on the small side for two-up touring.
USA....
I Have the same one Pastor John(GREAT PICS PASTOR!!!!!!) And I LOVE IT,VERY Strong and looks GOOD....I Can grab it and move back of bike if Need be, But DONT recommend it!!!
Good Luck-Ride Safe And Happy Holiday to ALL!!!!!.... R.W.
I'm also in the marlet for a detachable rack. I'm leaning towards the rack that attaches to the passenger back rest. I'm only going to use it once a year when I take my annual road trip and this year I'm taking my little sweetie. So I need the rack for an extra bag. I typically ride solo and store my bag on the back seat and use it as a back rest.
Anyway, those of you with 2 or 3, would you like to sell one?
