I am about to pull the trigger on 18's on my SG. Although I love the look of the laced wheels, and the 16 inchers only have 1200 miles on them, I have the bug to spend the dough
My question though is how much worse the ride gets with the bigger rim, I had a set of 20's on my diesel Ford truck for a while and the difference from 18's was significant. Is it the same going to 18's on a bike?
Game plan is 18 x 3.5" for the front and 18 x 4.25" for the rear. Opinions?
Excellent ride/handling on Metzelers ~ 18" 140F/150R is a solid combo with no clearance issues. 2008_METZELER_FULL_LINE.pdf
(23" Avon Cobra below with 1.75" drop kit)
If you like the laced wheels get them in an 18" I have got them on my bike with the Metzelers and I think the ride is much better then the stock 16" plus you get rid of the tubes.
