Believe it or not I use WD40 on a white cloth after my wheels have been washed and dried on my '06 Ultra with the wide ones. Keep changing to clean sideof cloth (old wash cloths or white shop towels)WD sprayed liberally on cloth and never spray directly on tire.
Once they are clean, you should clean tire off with a soapy cloth and gently spray off residue.
Works 100% of the time...
In a pinch, use can use any motor oil but please make sure everything is washed off (remeber soapy water) once finished. Stays clean for a while.
This is what many detailers due for raised white letter tires. Caution on car or motorcycle tires whit raisedlettersis that it really cleans the black too and you could transfer the dirt and grime from the black to thewhite (it will easily come off though) onto the white letters so be careful.
Please wash the cloths separately (maybe twice) because they will stink up the rest of the load and **** off the spouse!!!
