When you dyno operators dial in a bike at one elevation (say at my 800 feet), what is the effect of that tune crossing over the mountains at several times the elevation? Does it get all out of whack or ? I hope to buy one more Harley before my riding days are over,,,,,should I dial it in where I spend the most time?

Again, thank you sincerely for your expertise.
EFI is supposed to adjust but in the event that it does not seem to be running good, Prescott has a dyno tuner that has a good rep. GMR performance. I had him do a set of heads for me and was happy.

Terry, I'm doing an ongoing test of the new Cobra PowrPro tuner for forum sponsor Phat Performance, which is automatic, but it is limited to just fuel adjustment, and on ox-sensored bikes the cruise ratio remains at a still lean 14.2 to one, which we all know creates heat. As we hope to get at least one more new Harley before we are old and decrepid, it will then likely have ox sensors, I'm trying to get all my questions answered now. IMHO, this forum in general leans towards the Power Commander that disconnects the ox sensors, but I know there's other options out there, but each one seems to have its benefits and limitations. A whole lot of us are still computer illiterates, that don't have a clue about this mapping stuff, and would be lost to try and understand it.

P.s. Thank you for your service ! Stay safe and come home and ride !

When did the PCIII get an autotune? Thought that was only on PCV. Thats why i took it off my 01 and went with the Cobra PowerPro Autotune.

You are absolutely right, and I am absolutely wrong! I have said III other times too. The III is on my boy's Dyna. Forgive me.

Here is my experience. I'll give you the set up and numbers at home elevation, which is 35 ft. sea level. I went on road trip, two up with my girl to Tahoe's 6200 ft. elevation in mid summer 85 degrees. Spent two days there then back home
I have the TTS Master Tuner. FLHRS 103 ci , 255 cams, true dual rhineharts, high flow SE air cleaner. 87 hp, 107 ft. lb torque.
Dyno'd at 35 ft. sea leval; getting average 32 mpg's around town, 38 straight hwy.
Road trip got average 35 mpg's straight hwy.
She ran perfect the whole way. The only thing I noticed once in Tahoe and about a day after being at the 6200 ft. was the idle got a bit chuggy at a stop. We rode alot and it got up to the high 80's, so she got hot and still that was all I noticed in riding her (my bike that is). Oh her too. Ha...
Hope this helps and gives you another point of view.

Hell, I'll even meet you halfway.

Stay safe. God bless.
