Just wondering why some do everything(mods) for more power and then run true duels?....It's kind of like having sex with a clothespin on your nose!
Another reason is looks. You could say the same thing about doing motor work on an Ultra.... Why do that when the batwing will give you more wind resistance - and if you strip off the bags and trunk, and reduce weight, it will go faster - big deal. If it's a drag bike, suck every single HP you can out of it, and reduce all possible weight.....
If it is a bike you enjoy riding - set up how you want it to look, feel, and give some extra boost - maybe not all the boost possible - but enough to ride and enjoy it..... Same reason I threw on a dummy pipe - to me, two saddle bags need two pipes.... That's what I love about HD - possibilities are endless to accommodate everyone's taste....
Of course there are always those people who think they know best for everyone else's bike....

so those numbers arent possible even when I'm only 9 lbft above what S&S gets with thier tune, A/C and pipes?
Where's the link to the S&S? cuz I call bs. (not in a bad way man) but a stage 1 96" wont even be in the 90's for torque much less hit 100...
you def have more than a stage 1....
I have a stage 1 103 and see my numbers in my sig... a stage 1 96 should be a little LESS than that... I am leaving a little on the table with the true duals, but not much.
My bike runs fantastic, but I'm 2nd owner and just want a realistic baseline to know where I'm at. I'm just trying to make sure I understand all this dyno stuff and the measured output. I agree that the numbers my bike put out sure seem high, until I saw the S&S book...then I was like well....maybe? My local HD dealers have that book, so I'm sure most HD dealers will have it as well.
