Seems like he has joined the growing list of banned users lately. I agree that trolls should be banned immediately. However, I hate to see long time members like Profinish banned. In a weird way I even miss the posts from Choo Choo.
Probably more going on behind the scenes, but at least on the PUBLIC side of the forum, he was offering a cash reward for the real name and address of another board member, that he perceived of having "Done him Wrong"

I don't know if I would call him a "long time member" but I do remember people having questions about some of his post from the very beginning. I really doubt if the Mods would ban someone who didn't deserve it do you? And even if they did the owner can ban whoever he wants to. It's his house and we are guests. As far as Choo Choo goes you have the right to your opinion but why would you want someone who's only reason to be on here was to say " I'm smarter than you now go buy a service manual" I don't get why he even answered if the question being ask was to stupid for him. Just pass it and don't worry about it. As far as Profinishes product, I hope others have better luck than I did with the product. I didn't buy it from him but it was the same stuff and I would NEVER use it again. Keep an eye on it and get it off if it even slightly yellows. Once it yellows it will come off but in pieces about the size of your finger nail.
Let's just say it was a very confusing situation for awhile but Terry got to the heart of the matter and everything was done to ease the situation but it could not be worked out. It has nothig to due with ANY other bannings.

BTW, you can still buy his products.
Let's just leave it at that.
I'll leave it but I just wanted to say a couple things before I do . . .
I'll never question the moderators when it comes to banning a member . . . that is until it's me. LOL
As for Profinish, he was definitely a controversial member. Everyone who got to know him has to admit that the guy has gone through HELL with his accident and his leg. He is lucky to even have two. My heart goes out to the guy because I nearly lost my right leg in an industrial accident. I know this has nothing to do with the banning but it does have something to do with who Profinish is as a person.
I don't know about the rest of you but I welcome some controversy here on the forum. It keeps things interesting. Profinish was definitely all of that.
We don't ban sponsors unless it is absolutely necessary. It's a money losing proprosition. I worked for a long time to get Profinish on here as a Sponsor. We don't allow anyone that threatens the well being of a member or a member's family. We don't allow anyone to put a "hit" out on a member's ride. We can also run IP's to see if an account was actually hijacked or to see if the whole thing was made up to bring attention upon one's self. There was a lot of behind the scenes stuff going on.
