no because the engine is vibrating like mad in neutral and the belt is not moving.
No, I mean over tightening the belt puts a lot of pressure on the engine mounts which in turnallows more engine vibration through the frame. I've done it.

The guy who put on an IDS and now has more vibration...try loosining the belt a little and see if that helps. Did for me.

I read this thread the other day, my RK is was shaking pretty bad after I just had a motor mount changed. I thought it was the new motor mount but I looked anyway. I found that one of the hose clamps that hold the chrome heat shield onto the pipe was resting againts the transmission cover. I turned it around and problem solved. No more horrible shakes

I have 06RK and the shaking is really bad. I've replaced the chineese rubber mount with glide pro and it shakes the same. This shaking is on idle but it is not normal because Ihave seen other road king and the do not shakes so much. Mine horn sometimes is hiting the head. I do not want to go to dealer they wanted to replace new rubber with tha same new style chineese made. I think about checking crank.

Maybe you should try thr glidepro swingarm bushings and m/m. It takes a couple hundred miles for the vibes to go away after installing the bushings, mine did. Otherwise you should check your crank runout. 07s are notorious for excessive runout before I had the crank welded now its smoothe as butter. Seriously and its expensive
