I've got one on my 06 RKC, and I love it, but brother-in-law thinks it makes the bike look like a "geezer" bike. Whatever.

Don't mean to hyjack the thread, but has anyone noticed that the stock HD seat feels like it sits a bit higher with the adj. backrest installed? I feel like the mount doesn't exactly fit under the seat very well.

Installed the adjustable one when I bought my RG. Comfort is the name of the long ride game!

I just purchased a Mustang back rest for my stock seat and I love it too. I used to have a slight pain in the center of my back after riding 100+ miles in a day, but no more. I did try a Mustang solo seat with back rest, but I did not like the look of the Mustang solo seat not covering the gas tank the way the stock does - it left a gap.

I have the same set up with a sundowner seat on my 08 RKC. IMO this was the best money I have spent on the bike so far. Very comfortable. I purchased my adjustable backrest from Zanotti's and saved around $70.

Got one for Fathers Day from the Kids and wife last year for my UC, what a difference talk about riding in Comfort. As far as the assemble not fitting under the stock seat I had no issues and the seat sits as it should.

It seems like a bunch of money, but once you start using the adjustable backrest on a long trip it is worth it. For normal in town riding, I remove it.

I have the riders back rest and Sundowner seat and love it. Couldn't imagine long rides without the backrest.

I have one on my sterrglide stock seat. This weekend put a tall boy seat on with no backrest and felt like I was going to fall off the bike. Seat is going back on and not coming off.
