Default Removing riser cover

New to the Road King world and would like to move handlebars back how do I remove the cover over the risers without damaging it?
It's a 1999

The directions are in the service manual. Which "King" is it? Standard,Custom, or Classic?

1) Unscrew headlight trim ring.

2) Remove all the little black screws around headlight, unplug and remove headlight.

3) Remove small nut under top of nacelle that holds the top chrome decorative piece that covers nacelle joint, remove strip.

4) Remove small screw, washer and nut holding the front of the handlebar cover on. (way back in the nacell, don't drop the nut and washer)

5) Remove key lock trim ring and 2 screws that hold the handle bar cover on. Remove cover.

6) Adjust handlebars and reverse process.
