Default Stage I and xied's?

Is anyone running a stage 1 with just the xied's and no new map? I have a 08 FLHX and I just bought rinehart true duals, BCT baffles, and a AN big sucker, and those famous xieds. Is it safe for me to run this set-up til TTS finally comes out with there new tuner. I plan on buying just one tuner and I can't wait- stock bike is way too quiet. The guy from niterider said that the xied would work up till 4000 rpm and that is where 95% of all riding takes place. I tried reading all 42 pagesof the xied thread but my computer takes to long to load. If possible I could just run the rineharts with out the new AC or BCT baffles if that would help. Will I damage anything?

I spoke with Steve at night rider when I first dicovered the XIED's which I now have on my 07 Road King Classis. He mentioned you do not need anykind of re-mapping or new filter system and they are find for slip-on pipes. If that's all the MOD you plan on doing.

YEP! I have the XiED's, a set of V&H slipons and that's it. The folks at NightRider say that there is no benefit to be gained by adding a high flow airfilter. I'm VERY happy with the way my bike runs.

Yeah but what about a full rinehart true dual exhaust???? I could possibly leave the stock air cleaner on for now. I am tired of waiting for the new tuner and this way too quiet stock bike. If I keep her under 4000 rpm and just until I get a tune., will it hurt anything? Do these new harleys have any engine protection built in (knock sensor, limp mode, etc.)?
