just wondering about how much its gonna cost me to get my fi rkc dyno tuned? i already have the pcIII i just need someone who knows what they are doing to remap it? how much does this service go for?
I would think it depends on what you need done. If you just need a standard MAP downloaded (something off the PC website for example) and then you want to get the numbers from that MAP, I would think that shouldn't take more than 1 hour. If a custom MAP has to be created, you will probably end up in the 2-3 hour range. Then it just depends on how much your shop charges per hour.
Like someone said before it all depends on where you are and what you need. The shop I that go to in Des Moines, IA charges around $200.00 / HR. But if you have any work done to the bike like say if you buy a set of pipes or get the PCIII from him he will dyno tune if at no charge. Last Summer my dad bought a set of V&H True duals from this shop and he did the dyno for free. This guy is good he knows his stuff. The shop is called HOH (House of Horsepower)
In my original post (#2) I stated approx 3 hrs. That would be with a custom map. If you just want to dyno your bike to get a hp and torque reading then 1 hr would do it for sure. If you look at what the above people stated they paid for their dyno tune it would figure out to roughly 3 hrs x hourly rate.
