Like many I bought the ABS to keep from locking the rear brake.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. They are worth every penny you spend on them. I have only needed mine one time sinceI bought my 08 and hope I never have to use them again.
Hello I bought ABS with my 2008 Road King Classic and used them the 3rd day I had the bike as some cager made a turn right in front of me.Stopped me straight and I didnt skid..it was sweet....Well worth the money..glad i bought them!
As I understand the ABS process sensors detect any wheel slippage during front and rear braking and then apply (hundreds) of on/off pluses to the brakes to keep the tires from loosing traction. Again, well worth the money.

7 pulses per second. I doubt many can do that with their brake lever or pedal!
