OK...so the bike is backfiring sometimes when I pull the clutch and am changing gears. This usually only happens between 1-2nd and 2nd-3rd. This just started a few days ago after I did the 30,000 mile service. The only thing different is that I put in new spark plugs (the old ones looked perfect), cleaned the air filter and I re-wrapped the baffles with fiberglass (the old stuff had all but blown out). This has never happened before. So, what could be going on here? I thought maybe I created too much backpressure with the clean filter and newly-packed baffles. Is that possible?
Other info:
This is on a 2004 Road King Custom EFI. Stage I. Wild Pigs pipes. I've had all of this stuff installed for over 25,000 miles.
That is decel popping and it is likely caused from one of three places. An exhaust leak, an intake leak or bad air/fuel mixture. Since it juststarted showing up, I would start with the exhaust. Make sure you seat the mufflers using a high-temp silicone and then snug the clamps up nice and tight.

+1. I'm leaning more towards an air intakeleak, which would make sense if the air filter was serviced during the service.
