I run a PCIII on my FayBoy and a FuelPak on my StreetGlide. I'm very happy with both products. The FatBoy has cams and pistons so I choose to do the Dyno time.
The Fuelpak retains the O2 sensors, however the Fuelpak cannot make adjustments below approx 40% throttle on O2 sensor equipped models. What this means is that in this area your bike will not run any different that stock, as the O2 sensors will continue to set the AFR at 14.7:1 which is extremely lean contributing to high engine temps, poor throttle response, etc.. This is a problem as this is the most crucial area that needs to be tuned. V&H has not been completely forthcoming with providing this information. That aside, the Fuelpak has shown to work for some riders, has some unique features and the do have tech support available.
Now this is interesting. I had just about made up my mind to get the fuelpak. Throttle position is below 40% most of the time, is it not? Now I'm not sure what to do. I like the idea of being able to tune myself and don't much care for dyno runs. The bike is fast enough for me as is, I just don't like the idea of it running lean. I've been running a DFO, it was ok, but seemed to have the bike running to rich. It recently crapped out, so I'm looking to try something else. Is PC111 with a canned map the way to go?
