In NH, the db limit is 106
I think it is the highest in the country.
I had my tested at the dealer and the service manager
wrote the level on his card and signed it.
I hope this helps.
As for the helmet,,,,kavlar
'n taking my chances

I have 104 dB on my Rineharts TD on my 110 engine. I have no plans to pull pipes to ride somewhere. They are legal in NH where I reside!
And most of us know it's not that common. I have been to alot of Rally's in uniform, UC and as a participant. I have seen people acting like complete Asses and ruining it for everyone else. Those few, the ones that feel the need to roar on straight pipes to show their lack of manhood, have basically ruined it for the rest of us.
Sounds like selective enforcement to me. What a crock. Then again, it is the idiotic few that always ruin it for the rest of us.
+1.
No doubt they have a problem with bikers. Seems to me that a number of bikers are policemen and women, lawyers, judges, politicians, federal employee's, etc, etc.
Anytime any level of government gets their paws onto something it gets f'd up. This crap really brings out the rebel in me. Maybe its time for another Tea Party, this time we throw their dumbass into the water with lead weights.
Its time someone stood up for our rights in a strong manner.[sm=headbang.gif]

Let's not forgot too that the NY troopers assigned to this detail didn't wake up one morning and decide to organize it. This kind of thing comes from the top and it almost certainly originated from local politicians complaining to Albany and/or the local Troop Commander. You can bet the troopers on the ground would much rather be doing something else.
I live in Barneveld N.Y. just off Rt. 12 and have yet to get pulled over, that said they did pull a whooping 22 bikes over this weekend. You really can't blame LEO when New York is a broke dick state doing whatever it can to seperate the working man from his money, hell they just made it a law to tax internet sales in this state. It all boils down to money in NY and the cop that writes the ticket is just doing what he is is ordered to do to feed his family. You also have to remember that a whole lot of local folk do not like us making noise and drinking beer, they will not see any direct gain from 50k bikers coming to town and they can't wait till we leave so some do complain loudly.
<\\;P>\\;So far no problems with pipes in my state New Hampshire. No helmet law. I think I’ll stay home there is pelenty of good riding here.<\\;/P>\\;
<\\;P>\\;Don’t spend your money in NY go to Laconia.<\\;/P>\\;
<\\;P>\\;NH State Motto "\\;LIVE FREE OR DIE"\\;<\\;/P>\\;
I just got back \\;from Americade and didn't see \\;anything like that. They had some troopers parked in front of the Holiday Inn(Americade HQ), don't know what they were checking for but I never saw them have anybody pulled over. And as far as pipes, I was in town \\;Mon and Tues night and people were ripping on their throttle constantly and never saw one pulled over. \\;
hell they just made it a law to tax internet sales in this state.
la has been collecting sales tax on internet sales for years. \\;\\\\\\; except they do it on the honor system, i'm supposed to keep track of how much i buy on the internet, and then remit the correct amount on my income tax form. \\;\\\\\\; also, if i buy something in another state, and they collect a lessor amount than what la charges (i think 9%) then i am also supposed to remit the difference. \\;\\\\\\; err, yeah, sure....

they may not directly see it, but they sure will notice it when the revenue isn't there anymore. \\; some how, some way, higher property taxes? higher sales tax? \\; less road maintenance? \\; i dunno, but they will have to make it up somehow
