I just bought 3 small waterproof containers about 1/4 inch thich by 3 inches long and 2.5 inches tall. They look like miniture pelican cases. Clear and maded from lexan. I got one for the boat and both touring bikes. I think I paid 8 bucks a pop for them.

i got mine from amazon.com, unfortunately, i paid about 6 bucks apiece. \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; 3.50? might have to buy another couple...
just went back and looked at the reviews, apparently, this case is not as good as the witz 'keep it safe' for 5.95 (which is the one i bought). \\; but i suppose, if you were just keeping it in the windshield bag, it might be sufficient. \\; to directly see the link, you have to delete those extra \\\\. \\; tried but it wouldn't work.
I put mine in the leather folio I got with my 105th tickets and velcro'd it inside the lid of my tourpak. \\; it's always available and out of the way.
I have a pencil pouch that a school kid would put in a 3-ring binder. \\; I installed it in the saddle bad using the 2 screws that keep the cloth lid stop secure. \\; It works well and I keep my maintenance records in it as well.
