J&amp\\;P and maybe others still carry the old fashioned chrome tube that attaches to your down tubes.

+1 on the laminated. I have an admin that sits outside my office and I had her laminate mine. It is awesome, waterproof and can't rip.

In my wallet. I don't ever keep anything with my address in or on any of my vehicles. Several years ago at the hospital I worked at some pieces of sh*t went around to cars in the lot. In cars where they could find an address they stole the garage door openers and cleaned peoples houses out while they were at work.

Bought a small dive book waterproof case from a dive shop. Got my manual, reg, and Ins card all in it and carry that in the little leather(?) pouch in my trunk.
