I have a PCIIIr that I sent back to Dyno Jet for repair under warranty. It was taking so long I went out and bought a new one. They sent me back a new one (guess the old one was beyond repair)so now I have 2 of them. I was going to post it on ebay but if you want one cheep here you go.
I agree with this. If you have a fairly standard config, these guys will even put the map on it before they ship it - no charge.
If the bike is an '05 or later, the PCIIIr will not work. They require the PCIIIusb, as the MOCO change the ECM enough, in 2005 that the IIIr will not work.
I just bought a PCIIIusb on ebay from House of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee for $225. Shipping was less than $15. This was a Buy It Now item. I did not have to bid. They have several listed. See, for example, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Power...QQcmdZViewItem.
If you can read the direcdtions, you should be able to install it. I downloaded the instruction booklet from http://www.powercommander.com/ before I ordered mine and it looks like a piece of cake. This web site also has maps available for download for almost any setup you can imagine. They have my TC88, SE Airbox, Stage I, Rinehart true dual setup already dialed in. With a very small amount of PC savvy, a laptop and an internet connection, you can can do the download youself with the supplied USB caable.
If you want to squeeze out a bit more power, then take it and have it dyno'ed. That should take about an hour of dyno time. My dealer wants $70/hr.
