Default Highway peg placement?

I have an 08 Street Glide and I'm putting highway pegs on it.&nbsp\\;How do you determine the highway peg placement?

You gotta just sit on it and hold your feet up. I am installing the HD short arm adapter mounts. Just mount them at the lower prtion of the engine guard

Yeah, I don't want to mount them like the picture shows on the inside. I didn't know if there was a rule of thumb on the height before I scratch the chrome....Thanks!

you will notice most harley pictures have the pegs inside the engine guard if possible.&nbsp\\; here in bama i'm&nbsp\\; the only one i have ever seen that has them inside.&nbsp\\; everyone else has them outside (cause everybody else does).&nbsp\\; i have seen many a rider snag other bikes or other objects due to the additional width they added to their bike by installing them outside.&nbsp\\; myself i can't reach them if installed outside and i'm 5' 10".
