Idle
seems you may be experiencing the false home or 0 on the throttle by wire. \\; \\; Cycle the ignition switch on to off 4 times. \\; you shold be able to start it on the 4rth cycle and idle should be in the normal range.

Here's something new (at least for me) regarding what causes the fast idle problems. \\;\\\\\\; A sales guy told me that it's caused when you roll the throttle into the negative detent - past the regular stopping point - and pull the front brake lever at the same time. \\;\\\\\\; Anybody else ever hear this? \\;\\\\\\; He seemed to know what he was talking about. \\;\\\\\\; Also, he's the only one I've ever talked to who had \\;\\\\\\;actually "heard of it".

Good luck,

Add one thing be sure and wait for engine light to go out each time....you will then be back to factory setting.

I've had the problem for months. My local HD service mgr said that MOCO knows about it and will be issueing a fix 'soon'. Should be a download. I hope it works. In the meantime, the switch on/off does the trick.
