Hey all,
The other day I went down on my '07 RoadKing. The accident is something I don't remember as I suffered a concussion and complete memory loss of it. I remember Riding over HWY 17 from Santa Cruz to San Jose, getting SERIOUS wobbles then standing in the road in a daze. I think another biker stopped and got me out of the road. I just had HD of Santa Cruz do maintenance on the bike a couple days prior. The bike seemed wobbly after that and definately bit me on Tuesday whenI went down. I hate the idea that an hd dealership may have accidentally done something that contributed to this event. I guess anything is possible and I may never know. I have a broken rib, shattered right elbow, a concussion, no clue of what happened and may not get another bike for quite some time now as I just can't afford it if the bike is totalled out. Please guys and girls be careful out there. Whether I ever ride again or not, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for bikers. I've been doing it for over 20 years myself and hope it doesn't end here for me.
man sorry to hear that but glad you walked away from it. hope everything works out and you can get your bike fixed \\; i would find out exactly what they did to the bike during the service hope you recover quickly
Just remember to sign NOTHING until things are sorted out. \\; I was rear-ended back in 2000 (in a truck) by a jackass that didn't see traffic stopping ahead. \\; Cops estimated he was doing 70-100 mph at point of impact (I was at a dead stop). \\; His bumper made light contact with my head as he went OVER the top of my truck - took me several weeks to finally remember the final moments prior to impact. \\;
 \\;
Who has the bike? \\; Is CADOT going to investigate? \\; Glad you made it out \\;as well as you did - hopefully, you had good insurance on the bike....make sure their adjuster knows it was recently serviced!
Dude, I'm sorry to hear about your accident, I know when I had mine in '07 I still don't remember alot about it. \\; Hang in there and demand to know exactly what the dealer did that may have contributed to the wobble, they just might be liable. \\; Good Luck!!!!!!!
The good Lord was watching out for you! \\; The bike can be replaced.....just glad you're here to talk about it....and \\;hopefully everything \\;will work \\;out for you. \\;
 \\;
Good luck to ya......and you're in my thoughts and \\;prayers. \\;
