I agree with the last two. \\; Replaced the stock shield with a CBaileys 7.5. \\; Much better but still after riding for an hour or two I just feel beat on. \\; I'm trying to figure out "what else" I can do to help with the windage. \\; Overall looks and performance though 9.9 on a 10.0!
I first change the stock windshield to a 6 1/2, smoked type...wind buffeting got better. 3000 miles later I went to a Klockwerks and the diff was amazing! \\; No more wind buffeting against my helmet (I'm 6'2") yanking my head back and I can ride with my hat on without it flying off. \\; Additionally, more downforce on the frontend &\\; improved handling. \\; Ride safe. \\;
I gotta find someone around here with one of those Klockwerks shields (that's silly enough to let me try it).
I actually took my 9" FastAire and recurved it with a heat gun. It actually went pretty well... Of course, it didn't really work. Maybe it did, but not enough. 60-70MPH and the jackhammer was back in full-force. The only thing that's helping me is the 12" SlipStreamer shield (which is an amazing shield for only around $60 - Kicks the hell out of the stock $120 HD shield, which I also have). Added the baffle under the tree also. All of that stuff (including the "dragonfly wings" under the fairing) and I'm finally comfy with my 3/4 helmet.
But I hate looking through a windshield... The Klockwerks might be just what I'm looking for. I just don't want to drop the cash to find out that it doesn't cut it. I've done that so many times and spent so much cash, I'm just sick of it now.
