I wanted to check out the security on my 08 Police Road King, so I left the fob on my dresser (upstairs in front of house) and went to start the bike in my detached garage out back.&nbsp\\; It started right up!&nbsp\\; Is this normal?&nbsp\\; I figure the distance has to be 75-100 feet.&nbsp\\;

 

Good question, I've only had my FLHX a week so I've never tested it.&nbsp\\;

 

my street glide is disabled at about 25 feet or less.

 

On my FLHRC I have to be within about 6 feet.&nbsp\\; It doesn't sound normal to me (75-100) is definitely not correct.

 

Did the lights flash on and off?

 

At that distance it should not start and the lights should flash. Mine won't start if I just have the fob right inside the house from the garage. I would have it looked at. Might not be set up.

Shoot.&nbsp\\; Mine sometimes won't start with my fob in my windshield bag.&nbsp\\; I have to take it out and wave it.&nbsp\\; Yours definately ain't working right.

 

doesn't sound right...mine is disabled after about 6-10 feet.
