Here's the report. \\; The bike is much smoother now. \\; No 5th gear whine. \\; The really great improvement is 20 mph head wind, 6th gear, 70 mph, uphill, NO ENGINE NOISE! \\; Also, I am now able to ride 55 mph in 6th at 2K rpm, no lugging, no noise. \\; A great improvement. \\;

all the IDS does is mask a problem.
 \\;
Yep - an' when HD starts (rightfully) denying warranty claims caused by luggin' the engine, don't complain. \\; You ARE luggin' an engine under 70 mph in 6th gear. \\; You may not hear the noise any longer, but that's because they are masking the symptoms - period.
George Help me out on this one
I m obviously (see sig) a big IDS fan
If the IDS masks the symptoms what other symptoms/problems would indicate a motor has been lugged
I didn't do a very good job of asking that question
What type of \\;warranty claims would you expect to see if a 96" motor is run in 6th gear between 60-70 mph
 \\;
Any info will be appreciated
