A friend of mine owns a bike shop-hes an experienced performance engine builder (world record holder for speed) and does full service. A very good friend of his lost his life returning from Sturgis '05 through Iowa on I-80. He was pulling a trailer behind his Ultra. The bike was a " Firemans 911 tribute" released in limited edition from HD. Anyhow rear tire blew out- operator and passenger both lost thier lives. I had considered setting up my RG to pull a trailer until HE talked me out of it.
well......
i did it, i bought a bushtec trailer.the roadstar model.
all my winger friend's talked me into it. and yes im looking forward to trying it out.
i did go with one of the top brands, and i know a guy on the boards who swears he's run over 300.000 miles pulling trailers. say's he wont leave home without it.
but all the same, i'll do my best to be carefull. i shure am looking forward to going home.
im tired of this place.
I pulled a Travel-Lite pop up camper behind my 91 Ultra for several years and loved it. You do have to watch yourself (especially with the bigger trailers) cause they can get away from you. I think if you travel a lot you will like it.
Weet, congrats on the Bushtech purchase, I know a couple of people who have those and really like them.
I looked a the roadstar and that would be the one I would buy if I was going to get a trailer.
thanx guy's. we are planning to trave alot, when i finnally get out of this sand box, caint wait to git home, and just unwind,
do u know how good a plain ol' hot dawg on a camp fire would taste ? right this min ?
i ordered the air ride remote control thingy. from lewis , at electrial connections, adjust trailer to match any load just by riding it away, point at it, raise or lower, ..simple push of a button.
just look at tires in mirror, presto ! level.... should work sweet.
