i also have the chrome piece and the windshield is at an greater angle so the chrome
piece leaves a gap i am looking for some rubber molding to fix it have not found it yet
but i will the windsheild works great better than the harlet stands down
Here are photos that I just took in reference to the fitment issues that I am talking about WITHOUT the chrome trim piece.
This can't be normal!
I agree that it can't be normal. Mine fit well along the bottom. I would call them and send them the pictures. I hear that their customer service is top notch. They should make you happy by taking that one back in exchange for one that fits correctly.
Just what I did Sifu. \\; I sent those same photos to John earlier this evening and left him a voicemail. \\; I'm almost wondering if they sent me a shiled for the 03 and earlier Road Glides in error.
I have the RG front chrome piece and I recently bought a Clearview shield. \\; Since I live in Denver, I drove up to the Clearview factory and had them look at it. \\; We wound up eliminating the spacers between the chrome trim piece and the fairing. \\; We then used longer bolts to attach the chrome piece and windsheild directly to the fairing. \\; The fit is much better. \\; However, it is very difficult getting the longer bolts to work with the standard pre-drilled holes on the windshield. \\; I think that they are still working on the fix.
The stand off screws that come with the chrome peice have the screw hole offset from center so it can be adjusted to line up with the screw holes in the chrome trim.
The Clearview windshield is not on the same plain as the fairing. \\; The windshield tilts back about 5 degrees or more so the chrome trim won't lay against the windsheild and the fairing surface at the same time.
