Default Lean or Rich?

I know that after reading so many posts on this forum you would think I should know the answer to this question but I'm getting older and the 'ole memory aint like it used to be.
I had my SG dynoed with a SERT installed. Still getting poping and gurgle on decel. Does this mean the MAP is too lean or is it too rich leaving unburned fuel? Or can it actually be either or?

Frank

Popping is usually a result of a lean condition. However, sometimes the exhaust will over scavenge air through the crossover and it takes a very skilled tuner to dial it in. True duals help also.

Can also be that your bike is dialed in right and you have a small exhaust leak, especially where the headers go into the jugs.

Streetrunner good timing on this post. I got my bike back today from the dyno. I will say it is running 95 %. The only popping I am get is on decel. It does not happed often. And it only seems to happen when I wind her out lets say 4500 to 5000 rpm's when I go through the gears. And it does not do it all the time. If I juice the throttle lets say 3 0r 4 times in rapidly. It might pop but very rare. I will say with the sert and dyno she has a nice smooth idle. And when I wind her out from a stop the bike is a lot quicker and that front end feels light. LOL. I will do what Bill said. I will torque down the header bolts at the jugs. I belive I am close on this. Anyways the service manager wants me to call the dyno tech Monday. And see if we can tweek it a little more. I should mention it is fuel injected. Bob.
