AFTER I PUT MY APES ON, I NOTICED FRONT BRAKES DIDNT WORK AS WELL, KINDA SPONGY, AS I PUT ABOUT 200 MILES ON IT, ITS GOT BETTER, BUT I NOTICED A DRIP OF BRAKE FLUID ON TH EBOTTOM OF THE MASTER, I WIPED IT OFF AND RODE SOME MORE, AND IT CAME BACK. \\; THE BANJO FITTING IS DRY. \\; I THINK IT IS COMING FROM THE SEAL ON THE COVER FOR THE RES. \\; IS THIS A COMMON PLACE FOR IT TO LEAK FROM? \\; I TOOK ITOFF AN RE-TIGHTENED IT, BUT STILL SEEMS TO BE LEAKING, BUT THE FEEL IN THE LEVER IS GETTIGN A LITTLE BETTER
 \\;
ANY IDEAS?
I had the same problem. \\; I too took off the cover, checked out the gasket and closed it up. \\; It still leeked. \\; I brought it into the dealer, it was still under warranty, and they replaced the gasket. \\; Apparently it got crushed when I had it for the 1000 mile service at a different dealership. \\; It took 10 days to get the bike back waiting for the part, but at least it got fixed. \\; Good Luck.

Same here. \\; Dealer overtightened and had to be replaced. \\; Guess they are pretty fragile. \\; Anyway, lesson learned... Do my own service from now on.
The gasket shouldnt contribute to the mush feel though, should it? \\; i called dealer, they have them in stock, so for 8 bucks i am gonna try one i think, and re bleed the brakes. \\; \\; wich caliper gets bled first, the left or the right or does it matter?
Not sure that it matters which one first. \\; I think I did my right one first just because I was standing there filling the master cylinder with fluid. \\; And you are right about the gasket. \\; In my experience, only bubbles (or a weak brake line) should cause a spongy feel. \\; I had good firm pressure on the lever with the lid off once the air was out of the caliper.
SO I CAHNGED THE FLUID THAT WAS IN THE MASTER WITH SOME GOOD DOT 4 RBF RACING BRAKE FLUID, AND BLED AND THE FEEL IS A LITTLE BETTER, RAINIGN OUT SO I WILL TEST WHEN ITS DRY OUT.
THE GASKET I GOT FROM THE DEALER WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE I TOOL OF, SO WE'LL SEE IF IT ENDS UP LEAKING OR NOT

It's very important not to over tighten the
screws on the cover.
The leak can also come from a warped O-ring
on the piston inside master cylinder.

Peter
I just took \\;it for a quick 5 mile test ride, stopped 10x better than before and no evidence of a leak out of the new cover gasket, so i think i'm all good now
