How do I get the "TINNEYNESS" out of my headset?
HD headset, 3/4 helmet. \\; I did no attache the speakers with provided tape, just placed them in ear pockets...

Your speakers have to be positioned to ride right over your ear in direct line of your ear canal and almost touching your ear. Being off center or out from the ear will cause them to sound bad.

Make sure bass is up full. \\; Turn down some of the treble. \\; pack some foam around the earpieces. \\; Settle for HD headset ("thin / tinney" sound) or get some upgraded earpieces. \\; I run the radio through my speakers on the bike, but set the headset for intercom/CB.
I have the Autocom System. I too had a problem with "tinnyness" with their speakers. I went to Edsets http://edsets.com/ \\;and purchased his speakers, hardwired them into the Autocom Headsets wiring loom and now the music in my helmet sounds like a concert hall. You can do the same with the HD headsets. Cut and solder the \\;wires and seal with shrink wrap. Also what helps is some space between the speakers and the helmet, allows the speakers to draw in "air"allowing the speakers to "flex" and increase the bass response.
You can also buy an adaptor for about $20 that plugs into your dash, then use any 3.5mm headset you want. \\; You will be able to do everything except communicate with your passenger and talk on the cb.
