I'm \\; picking up the new bike tomorrow, which slippons should I get, with a deep, rich, simi-loud sound, \\; and should I change the air filter while I'm at it....Please help!!
Get a set of Rush slip ons with 1.75 baffles which will run you about $350. If you change the filter to a high flow like the SE then you will have to get a fuel management setup like the SE pro tuner or the like which will run you about $600 extra for the tuner, then you would need a dynotune to dial it in which will be another couple hundred. How much extra do you want to spend? If you're not \\;prepared to spend all that, then \\;just get the slip-ons for now. \\;
 \\;V&\\;H ovals or monster ovals. Great \\; sound, look way better than most others from the back. \\; Do your AC and tuner now because its summer and the stock bike is gonna fry your ***! I paid about $680 for everything , slip ons ( used like brand new from a forum member) fuel pak and \\;SE AC. Shop around look for deals and its so easy a child could do these installs. My bike runs as good as any other tuners out there or better with no cheese spent on dyno or labor.
www.superflowmufflers.com order the 2 inch and leave the air cleaner stock save your self a bunch of money. Stock look but diffently \\;not stock sound deep rumble not to loud. I've got the 1.75 inch on mine but I only have a 80 inch evo motor the 2 inch should be perfect on 96 inch twin cam motor. \\; \\; \\;
I have the Vance &\\; Hines Oval slip ons and love them. I did add the S/E High Flow A/C &\\; Vance &\\; Hines fuel pack but if all you want right now is better sound you can just do the slip ons and be OK.
i saw where fuelmoto has a special for june, rush pipes, pcIII, and air cleaner kit... i ordered one, will give feedback after this weekend on it.
 \\;
Rush 1.75 or do what \\; did, get a used pair of 2" off E-bay for $92 and repack them for around $30. It quieted them down a tad ( which I thought they needed) and they sound great. \\; \\;They have a low rumble until you crack it open.
 \\;
Next \\;get a set of XiEDs from http://www.nightrider.com/parts/ \\;for \\;$99 for fuel management. It richens your AFR and makes it sound even meaner or lower, also cools it down. Then you can do the A/C thing if you want.
 \\;
Ride well,
