 \\; \\; \\; I leave tomorrow on my first long distance ride. \\; Going for 10 days. \\; Leaving Dallas and going through Nebraska, Sturgis, Canada, Glazier (sp) National Park and Yellowstone National Park. \\; Going with two experienced long trip riders and am very excited. \\; Put my Kuryankan Highway Pegs on this afternoon and hitting the road at 5:00am tomorrow. \\; Any last second advice would be greatly appreciated, i.e. packing, keep butt from going numb etc.
I hope I don't get to sightseeing so much I don't watch where I am going.
Will have pics when I get back around the the end of the month or so. \\; My good friend I am going with is getting married on the 4th of July so we have to be back by the 3rd at least (haha).
Again any advice would be greatly appreciated. \\; Going to get something to eat will check the post when I get back.
Advice? \\; Make sure you have rain and cold gear with you. \\; Keep some emergency water with you. \\; When a sign says "last gas for 60 miles", believe it. \\; Make sure to take plenty of breaks, you dehydrate really quick on those all day rides. \\; Have a great time.
Pack ya \\; worst underwear, \\; and throw them away each nite, ( cause ya know you'll buy \\; a few t shirts along the trip) this way ya make room, , also use some monkey butt OR at least power on the \\; TWINS<\\; \\; stops itch and twitchin in the seat while ya riding.ENJOY yaself
Really, enjoy. \\; I have been riding for over 35 years, and the long rides are the greatest.
You, see, smell, sens, feel, everything - even the rain has its own beauty (of course thats assuming your properly attired). \\; The USA is the best place in the world to live (I have been to many countries).
 \\;
Have a blast, take lots of pictures, and you will never be the same when you return!
 \\;
Go forth, enjoy, smile, and it will be forever placed in your "book of life experiences"!!
Totally jealous !!! \\; \\; Have a blast. \\; You might want to go over all add-ons, pegs, and such on your bike to make sure nothing is loose. \\; Take aspirin and sunscreen. \\; Ride safe...
Take a small journal with you and at night jot down what you saw and where you were for that day. \\; Once back home you will be surprised how quickly you will forget a lot of the small details. \\; \\;Also even your pictures will will be a mystery as to where they were taken. \\; Been there done that. \\; Most important enjoy every minute.
