Default Going on first long ride, fired up!

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I leave tomorrow on my first long distance ride.&nbsp\\; Going for 10 days.&nbsp\\; Leaving Dallas and going through Nebraska, Sturgis, Canada, Glazier (sp) National Park and Yellowstone National Park.&nbsp\\; Going with two experienced long trip riders and am very excited.&nbsp\\; Put my Kuryankan Highway Pegs on this afternoon and hitting the road at 5:00am tomorrow.&nbsp\\; Any last second advice would be greatly appreciated, i.e. packing, keep butt from going numb etc.

I hope I don't get to sightseeing so much I don't watch where I am going.

Will have pics when I get back around the the end of the month or so.&nbsp\\; My good friend I am going with is getting married on the 4th of July so we have to be back by the 3rd at least (haha).

Again any advice would be greatly appreciated.&nbsp\\; Going to get something to eat will check the post when I get back.

Advice?&nbsp\\; Make sure you have rain and cold gear with you.&nbsp\\; Keep some emergency water with you.&nbsp\\; When a sign says "last gas for 60 miles", believe it.&nbsp\\; Make sure to take plenty of breaks, you dehydrate really quick on those all day rides.&nbsp\\; Have a great time.

Pack ya&nbsp\\; worst underwear,&nbsp\\; and throw them away each nite, ( cause ya know you'll buy&nbsp\\; a few t shirts along the trip) this way ya make room, , also use some monkey butt OR at least power on the&nbsp\\; TWINS&lt\\;&nbsp\\; stops itch and twitchin in the seat while ya riding.ENJOY yaself

Really, enjoy.&nbsp\\; I have been riding for over 35 years, and the long rides are the greatest.
You, see, smell, sens, feel, everything - even the rain has its own beauty (of course thats assuming your properly attired).&nbsp\\; The USA is the best place in the world to live (I have been to many countries).
&nbsp\\;
Have a blast, take lots of pictures, and you will never be the same when you return!
&nbsp\\;
Go forth, enjoy, smile, and it will be forever placed in your "book of life experiences"!!

Totally jealous !!!&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Have a blast.&nbsp\\; You might want to go over all add-ons, pegs, and such on your bike to make sure nothing is loose.&nbsp\\; Take aspirin and sunscreen.&nbsp\\; Ride safe...

This is the best advice ANYONE ever gave me.

Don't ride over your head.

You're riding with experienced riders. Don't worry about keeping up. Ride at your own pace.

This is advice to live by. Have a great ride.

Take a small journal with you and at night jot down what you saw and where you were for that day.&nbsp\\; Once back home you will be surprised how quickly you will forget a lot of the small details.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Also even your pictures will will be a mystery as to where they were taken.&nbsp\\; Been there done that.&nbsp\\; Most important enjoy every minute.
