I got a Sundowner. \\; It is wide - great for weight distribution. \\; I think that is the key that makes all the difference. \\; Big butt - big seat - \\; no insult intended since I fill the seat myself! \\; I am good for 12 hour days on it and at 65 I am no spring chicken!
I always ride alone so I strap a duffle bag on the passenger seat. The factory back rest pushed me up too far. I too, have no azz. (Thats what the wife tells me) After 200 miles I develop a serious case of azz burn. I havent figured out a solution for that. I'm thinking about a pad or a seat cover.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Now there's a descussion that could go on for ever!
 \\;\\\\\\;
I did have the SAC bag behind me \\;\\\\\\;that was supportive. We ran anywhere from 300 to 600 miles a day and even sitting upright with my feet on the FBs I started the azz fidget after the first 200.
Getting off even just for a quick 5 min smoke helped.
Has anyone heard or had dealings with a place in PA called Butt Buffer? Buttbuffer.com
I'm not sure I would trust just any upolstry (sp?) shop \\;\\\\\\;and PA is a nice weekend ride.
Thanks for the input guys, \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; Mitch
 \\;I had the same problem as you, I installed a Mustang single seat with there back rest it works great no more burning but and the back rest has totally helped my broken back.
I've tried rebuilding seats several times and it is very difficult to get it right going that way. \\; \\;
The riders backrest is a must for long haul's. I also use the "Air Hawk" seat pad. With these two additions, I can ride all day without any pressure points in my a$$ causing my legs to go numb. Here is the link for the "Air Hawk" if the post works. http://www.rlmotorcycles.com/cgi-bin...roduct=AirHawk
