FYI frog13, Never owned a Jap Bike except Honda Four Wheelers, been riding as long as you have, sir. I am 48 yrs. young and will take your advice and stop posting about this issue, but obviously you didn't read what I said statistically speaking, not every hog owner is a member of this site, the dealers nationwide are the other side of this equation. I have contacted a large number of them hence my emphasis on this topic, oh well.
I'll just keep my thoughts to myself.
 \\;
Look at the origin of the majority of the accessories you buy from Harley. Made in China, Made in Taiwan, \\;not the USA. \\;The air pump I purchased which is specific to changing the air pressure in the rear shocks of my SG, made in Taiwan. This is a plastic part that I am posting about and yes in most instances when it fails your bike stops running immediately, rarely can you limp home with this issue.
 \\;
JAP or HARLEY or what ever, the asian countries are manufacturing the majority of the plastics for this country's usuage.
 \\;
This is a safety issue so that is why I have been so verbal when posting about this issue. Depressed about the posting's, me to. That's my last response. Good luck all.
