i had the same problem. up the rpm's and it would slide in. rlling t a stop and it would slide in. but if at a stop no deal. Untill I adjusted the clutch cable and now it is no problem. give the cable a little more slack and it shuld be easy.

If the clutch is properly adjusted, it will be a piece of cake to find neutral. \\;\\\\\\; If there is the slightest bit of drag, finding neutral will be a PITA.
