Default Finding neutral?

'08 FLHR with 3000 on the clock.&nbsp\\; It's a bit touchy finding neutral and so I'm wondering, as the bike breaks in more and more, will this improve?&nbsp\\; A buddy of mine has an '07 FLHRC with 7600 and shifting into neutral on his bike is a piece of cake compared to mine.&nbsp\\; Thoughts?&nbsp\\; Oh, and yes, my fluid levels are within specs.

Raise the RPM's up to about 1500/2000 and it will go right into neutral.

...Thoughts?...
Had a similar issue with my '08 UC - finding N was fairly easy from 1st up, not so easy from 2nd down using the toe shifter...and a PIA using the heel shifter.

Got much better over time and after changing to a gear oil.

I also changed the position of my rear shift lever a little lower and use it. For me it makes it easier.

I have an 08 UC a few months old now with 5000 miles.&nbsp\\; Still have trouble finding neutral.&nbsp\\; Rode a 07 Softtail Custom the other day and the shifting was beautiful compared to my UC

Changed to full sythetic gear oil (Amsoil) and had a near immediate change in ease of finding nuetral.&nbsp\\; I'm sure other synthetics would work just as well.

Make sure your primary is not over full also. If it's too full it can make neutral hard to find.

Amzoil and blip the throttle ever so gently while your applying preasure to the shifter. Should slip right in.

Also, try shifting into neutral while the bike is still rolling.
