1185 Miles
\\; \\; \\; \\; On Friday as \\;we were coming into Custer, SD around 11am, it started to rain, then hail. In 45 minutes we had 2inches of pea to marble size hail. The warm ground caused the hail to melt together and form a sheet of ice. No damage to the 30 bikes. We waited for the storm to pass and headed back to the hotel in Deadwood. Rained on and off rest of the day.
\\; \\; \\; \\; Perfect weather on Saturday. 81 degrees and a 3 mph wind. Rode all over the hills from 8am to 8:30pm. Everything is really green.
\\; \\; \\; \\; Almost went down once. In South Dakota, they are filling the cracks in the road with some kind of tar that stays soft. They overfill and the excess tar moves about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch, like Jello. I was in a right curve and got in some of the tar. Pushed on the bars and the bike kept sliding, into the other lane. The tar caused the bagger wobble big time. Later we found out \\;several others had the same problem. Some thought the front tire went flat, others thought that the front axle had broke. Pretty freaky stuff!
 \\; \\; \\; \\; \\; \\;He aded home on Sunday with 80 degrees and 20mph cross winds. Had a great time anyway.
