gary is correct according to my 06 owners manual and it is the way I have been checking my tranny fluid level since the first day. [sm=biker.gif]&nbsp\\; Must be a change for the 08 model year.

Yep it is. In the 08&nbsp\\;Touring Models&nbsp\\;owners manual, page 147-148 for oil level cold and hot check, page 154 for tranny fluid check, both with the bike on jiffy stand

My 07 touring service manual says on jiffy stand. Holds 32 oz.. Draining the fluid I do it straight up. The trans hole is on the right side so it all will not drain out if on the jiffy stand.

funny this post shows up this morning.&nbsp\\; I changed my last night from the 20-50 Amsoil to the 75W-140 Amsoil just to experiment which one quites my 5th gear, it did.&nbsp\\; anyway 07 FLHRC service manual and owners manual "check trans oil level on JIFFY stand".&nbsp\\; Of course to change is level or just jack it up as mentioned above not all the oil will drain if you drain while on the "Jiffy" stand.&nbsp\\;
