I would have to agree with some of the earlier post. All my rides use to get the same treatment. My car was totally tricked out and one Sunday around 3:00 in the afternoon a drunk driver went straight in our cul-de-sac and totaled it. It was towed to a dealership and by time I could get there Monday after work, some of my parts were missing. The dealership claimed their workers don’t steal, but after threatening a law suit and showing receipts, the parts found their way back. I guess they just borrow. This wouldn’t have happened to the Harley because it’s always safe in the garage. So now all my money goes to the bike.
As we all know ( but some are too shy to admit ) our Harley's are merely an extension of our *****. Some of us have big shiny ones....others have small dull ones. BUT! It takes all shapes and sizes ( and different amounts of chrome ) to make the world go 'round....
Why is it that most of us spend som much $$$ on our Bikes, and do not even come close to spending that kind of $$$ on our trucks or cars??? I am not sure if it is the lack of being able to ride right now (winter time) or what, but I can not seem to stop ordering more, and more, and more stuff for my Harley???

All toys get the same treatment...it never ends....my cj has over 450 horse and will do wheel stands. I had it at the Car Craft Magazine Summer Nationals and it was a blast.

I got a unexpected check for about 150 bucks. I stood there with the check in my hand saying, "Oh yeah Harley parts!!" my wife walked by snatched the check from my hand and said, "Oh no bank account." I have to work faster.
I go freakin' nuts during the winter time when it comes to "personalizing" my stuff. Almost every winter I end up spending $3k on my stuff on the average. $ years ago I put $2,500 into my 1984 15th Anniversary Trans Am. Req'd maintenence stuff and items needed to bring it up to be show worthy in my eyes.
3 years ago I worked on my 1989 Turbo Trans Am Pace Car and it kept me busy through the winter detailing it and I spent few bucks on it but not nearly what I've spent on my other cars in the past.
Two years ago I dumped $4k in my Convertible Trans Am Trans Am 'garage queen'. Visual mods and some bolts engine mods too.
As for the winter of '05/'06 I've focused my attention on the Street Glide. ie; Wheels, tires, chrome, seats (plural), chrome, H-D clothing and accessories, chrome (did I mention chrome?) too much to remember and more on my H-D "Wish List". This year I blew past the $3k mark and my better half reminds me of that all too often and [sm=idontcare.gif] just don't tell her!
I do have to say "personalizing" the SG has been my favorite hobby thus far. Even though I've ended up in the Dog House on more than one occasion because of my passion, drive, addiction (mental illness as the wife says) whatever over this Harley-mania it's been worth it.
With that being said there's no stoppin now. Uncle Sam just deposited my Fed return into my account and I can hear those Benjamins screamin for me to take them to the Stealer and put them to use [sm=smiley20.gif]
