Looking at a sweet 03 police electra glide and maybe someone here can help. I now ride an 03 dyna fxd and at times I wish it had a 6th gear. Even though both have very close gear ratio's how does the electra glide do at top end? Is the 5 speed fine or does it need the 6th? Thanks

 

6th is much nicer at higher speeds.

 

6 is a good extra, but only if you live ina area where you can maintain 70mph plus... otherwise 5 will do a great job....

 

6th gear isn't necessary but it is a great feature for over 60 mph.

 

Is 6th gear "needed?"&nbsp\\; Probably not since there are tens of thousands of Touring models pre-07 running around without one.&nbsp\\;

 

55 mph for me.
