BOLT ON MOTOR UPGRADE
Greetings to all from Sunny Egypt, land of the Pharoes

I have an 08 Road King Clasic and I am considering a motor upgrade. Upgrade kits are out of the question as I live in Egypt and there are no qualified builders.

From what I could gather from the S&\\;S website, there are no S&\\;S complete motors for 08 models
 \\;
One alternative is the Jims. Any body has experience with these motors? How reliable are they? How smooth while cruising? I understand the Jims 130 is out next month and I like it but I am worried about reliabiliy issues.

Another option is a Screeming Eagle 110 from HD, HD states that it will fit only on SE models. No clue why. Any way around this?

The Jims 120 motors in the Thunder Mtn. chopper bikes were having problems.Thats all I know about them.

Thank you all for your input.This is a great forum. Looks like I shouldn't try the Jims.... I will be doing some research on the Screaming Eagle Motor installation on a normal bike as this looks like the only option left.

Just wondering, but why drop a brand new motor in it? \\; You've already got a new motor. \\; If it doesn't have the poop you want, why not just upgrade. \\; There's about 2000 options to take the motor you've got, and make it much, much better performance wise, and you won't spend near the amount of $$. \\; Or are you just rolling in $$ over in the SandBox, and have the need for a new engine?
