I hear a squeak when I go over a bump \\;on my 02 Road King. \\; I bought it new and it has over 57K miles on it, so \\;I know when noise is normal and when \\;it is \\;annoying. \\; This is annoying! \\; I have been trying to locate the squeak for the last 4 months, with no success. FYI, when I put my foot on the rear passenger foot pegs or slightly touch the jiffystand while driving the noise goes away. I have replaced the spring and even put a rubber hose around \\;the frame where it touches, but it still squeaks. I took \\;both rear footpegs \\;off to isolate the sqweak, again it still sweaks. \\; It must be on the frame somewhere, but I will be damed if I can pin point it. \\;Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the reply, but maybe I did not explain it correct. \\; First, it's not the belt. \\; The sqweak is more like two pieces of metal moving against each other. \\; When I put \\;one foot on the rear pegs (either one) while driving I somehow insulate/ground/minimize the vibration so it goes away. \\; If my wife is riding on the bike it also goes away.
 \\;
The nosie occurs when I am driving and the bike hits a bump/crack or \\;ruff road. \\; The nosie can be heard when \\;I have my feet on the drivers floorboard. \\; I havn't tried to take both feet off the floorboards yet to see if it still occurs.
