My CD player started acting up a few days after I got the bike and has been getting worse. Plays just fine in lower gears at any RPM and slower speeds "below 60". As soon as I get up in the 60's at any RPM the disc starts skipping really bad. Why at speed and not lower speeds? Dealership tells me they need the bike from 1 to 4 days to trace a wire. Seems the factory has told them which wire. One, what do ya suppose is happening and two, why 1 to 4 days. They tell me it's cause they have to have the factory guy talk em through it or something like that[>:], and they never know when the factory is gonna call[:@] \\;Anyone else experiencing this issue. Damm I hate electrical issues[:'(] \\;They always \\;seem to be the hardest to fix and most time consuming.

How is a wire going to have any impact on a cd skipping? \\;Unless of course it is an internal wiring issue in the radio. Something tells me the dealerships aren't equipped to do internal radio repairs.
Sounds to me like the dealer needs to invest a lot more money in basic training for their techs, if they can't trace wires without the factory walking them through it.

Damn, even my girl was able to re-wire her headlights just from reading the service manual, and she isn't one to bust her knuckles on a regular basis. \\; She was even able to trace the wires from her rear speaker up through the front fairing to find the loose connection with out the manual!
They said the Factory won't take the system back because the factory claims it's a wire some where. Maybe I discribed the problem as skipping and it is maybe cutting out? Seems to me if it were cutting out, it would cut out listening to the radio as well as the CD's. I know I have no clue so I am at the mercy of the dealer. I just can't see 1 to 4 days, unless they are doing exactly what you said and that's sending it out..
here's a suggestion
 \\;
shut the radio off and ride it untill the middle of november.
drop the bike off and let them take ther time.
pick bike back up in may and thank them
for free winter storage
